Properties and options
High barrier propertiesBarrier layers limit oxygen and other gas transmission into the pack. Select the barrier performance for the product and storage conditions.
Close fit after shrinkingAfter evacuation and heating, the film shrinks closely around the product. The shrink level and processing conditions depend on the material.
Puncture resistanceIncreased resistance to punctures and mechanical damage. Material thickness and structure are selected for the product’s shape.Clarity and glossClear, glossy film lets the product’s colour, texture and shape remain visible without opening the pack.
Seal strengthA properly formed seal helps maintain pack integrity and vacuum. Match sealing settings to the film and equipment.
For automatic Flow-Vac linesRollstock film runs on an automatic line to form the pack, evacuate the air and seal it, followed by the shrinking process.
Application examples

What to consider when selecting a material
Match shrink film to the vacuum line and the subsequent shrinking process. Specify the equipment model, product format and roll width. Shrinking conditions must suit the material and cannot be determined from pack appearance alone.
Selection questions
Which process are these films intended for?
This section presents shrink films for vacuum packaging on Flow-Vac lines. Check material compatibility with the line model and product format.
How does film differ from a ready-made shrink bag?
Film is supplied on a roll for the appropriate line, while a ready-made bag is used as an individual item. Choose the format for the equipment and packaging process.
What happens after shrinking?
The material follows the packaged product’s contours more closely. The result depends on film properties and the selected processing conditions.
Is any heating setting suitable?
No. Match temperature and treatment time to the material specification, product and equipment. There is no universal setting for all shrink films.
What information helps select the film?
Provide the line model, product dimensions, barrier requirements and subsequent processing conditions. The specification of any film already in use is also helpful.
