How to choose vacuum bags
Start with the machine
Smooth vacuum bags are considered for chamber machines, while embossed bags are used with external-suction machines. Check compatibility with the specific machine and its sealing-bar dimensions before selecting a bag.
Consider the product and processing
Product shape, sharp edges, storage conditions and heat treatment all matter. Shrinking and cheese ripening require materials intended for those applications; a standard bag does not replace a specialist one.

Selection questions
Do the same bags suit every vacuum machine?
No. Chamber and external-suction machines may require different bags. Start with the equipment type and its operating requirements.
How is bag thickness selected?
Consider the product’s shape, weight and edges, as well as its intended use. Assess thickness together with structure and the required bag strength.
How is pack integrity checked?
Check the pouch for damage and inspect the seal. Match the material and sealing settings to the product and equipment.
How are bag dimensions determined?
Allow for the product’s dimensions and enough material for positioning and sealing. Also check chamber dimensions and sealing-bar length.
Can printed bags be specified?
We consider printed options within the relevant subgroup. Agree the artwork, format and material structure with the product and packaging process.
