Features and options
Reverse printingThe printed image is enclosed between the layers of a laminated film. The outer layer protects the print from abrasion.
Surface printingThe image is printed on the outer surface of the film. A protective coating can be applied when required.
Easy-open notchA small notch at the edge of the pouch provides a starting point for tearing it open without scissors.
Euro slotA slot in the top of the pouch allows the product to be displayed on a retail hook.
Sterilisation — up to 134 °CHigh-temperature treatment of the packed product to destroy microorganisms, including spores. The process must suit both the product and the packaging material.
PasteurisationControlled heating of the packed product to reduce microorganisms. Temperature and duration are selected for the product and its packaging.

What to consider when selecting a material
The textured surface provides an air-removal path for an external-suction machine. During consultation, specify the model, sealing-bar length and required bag size. Heating suitability must be checked separately for each embossed material.
Selection questions
Why is the bag surface embossed?
The relief creates channels for air removal in an external-suction vacuum machine. Check the bag’s surface type when selecting material for this equipment.
Why might a smooth bag not work in a household machine?
During external suction, smooth walls can block the air path. Use the bag type specified for the particular machine.
How is bag width selected?
Consider product dimensions and the usable sealing-bar length. Position the bag correctly in the particular machine’s suction and sealing area.
Can these bags be used in a chamber machine?
Check the machine requirements and material properties. Smooth bags are also considered for chamber packaging; select the appropriate option for the process.
How can an embossed pouch be recognised?
One surface has a textured structure that helps air extraction on a compatible external-suction machine.
